The Language of Faith

The Bible teaches that true faith should inspire our speech (2 Corinthians 4:13).  In this teaching, we learn more about what the Bible says about the importance of our words and the power of our tongues to guide the course of our lives much like a rudder guides a ship.  In doing so, we also look at the scientific validation for this concept with a peak into discoveries in quantum physics regarding the power of words and thoughts.  Once again, science is catching up with the Bible!  Let this teaching encourage you about the power in your mouth!

HINDRANCES TO HEALING: God’s Word on Healing, pt. 6

There are several roadblocks to healing that those who are seeking it need to be aware of.  This teaching lists 7 common hindrances that often go unnoticed by people praying for healing.  At the end of this teaching, BLF member Juli Suverkrup gives an amazing testimony of how God opened her womb when she and her husband were unable to have children.  Let this teaching equip you and encourage you in your own walk of faith.  

THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM: God’s Word on Healing, pt. 5

This teaching continues with gaining insight from Abraham's journey of faith, and makes several observations in how to grow and maintain strong faith as it applies to healing.  Also featured in this teaching is guidance on the importance of taking care of our bodies and what the Bible has to say about that, in addition to insights about how vitally important it is to walk in love and how that can hinder the life of faith, and more.  

THE JOURNEY OF FAITH: God’s Word on Healing, pt. 4

Faith is often journey rather than an instantaneous result.  While a person is learning to develop strong faith, the answer to our prayers may be delayed as it was in Abraham's case.  Abraham is our example of how to walk in faith, as he demonstrated how even in the midst of impossible circumstances, we can cling to the promises of God and see them come to pass if we "waver not through unbelief."  This teaching also provides some little-known insights on Isaiah 53 that can help build your faith for healing!   

THE FORCE OF FAITH: God’s Word on Healing, pt. 3

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it's impossible to please God.  And James 1:6-8 says without faith we can't even expect to receive anything from God!  Obviously, then, we need to discover what faith is and how to walk in it if we expect to receive healing, or anything else for that matter.  While many man-made religious ideas have been conjured up to try to explain why some people don't get healed, the fact is, none of them are based in the Word of God.  Actually, there is nothing more emphatically taught throughout God's Word than that through the atonement of Christ both salvation AND healing were provided.  This teaching, therefore, explores more concepts of healing under the umbrella of faith!  

GOD’S WORD ON HEALING, part 2

In this second teaching in the series, we discuss two little-known concepts about healing.  The first is the broader meaning of salvation and how it's more than forgiveness of sins, but includes benefits in this life as well.  The second issue is Paul's "thorn in the flesh," which many people mistakenly believe was an illness of some sort.  It wasn't. Learn in this teaching why Paul's thorn in the flesh couldn't have been an illness and why that's important to know in building your faith for healing.
