Hebrews 6 says that "faith toward God" is a fundamental concept we must master if we are to go on to spiritual maturity.  But what exactly does that mean?  In this teaching, we break down what it really means to trust God for one's salvation.  This version of the gospel message is not taught in many churches these days, but it must be understood if we are to build a firm spiritual foundation that will stand the test of time.  

One of the fundamental principles the book of Hebrews says we have to master to go on to maturity is "repentance from dead works."  But what does that mean?  Many people believe they have repented, but the fruit -- or lack thereof -- of their lives show they never really rended their hearts and changed, which is one fundamental element of true repentance.  This teaching will take a deep dive into the meaning of repentance and how it should be impacting the life of the Christ follower.  Listen in to make sure you have truly repented according to the Biblical meaning.  

The endurance of a building is determined by the quality of its foundation.  And the same is true with our faith.  If we do not start out on a firm foundation, then it impairs our ability to grow in our faith and many elements of the Kingdom.  In this first teaching in the series, we discuss the problem of the widespread lack of Biblical knowledge in the Western Church, the consequences that can have, and the benefits of being trained in the "word of righteousness."  Clearly, Scripture tells that God wants us to grow into maturity in our faith and not remain spiritual babes.  Get ready to be trained!

Elijah was one of the most powerfully used people in all of Bible history.  Yet even after a great victory at Mt. Carmel where God's power was demonstrated in an awe-inspiring way, Elijah soon after fell into a deep discouragement after a satanic counter-attack.  And that's often what happens after a great victory or move of God in the life of a church or individual.  This teaching examines 6 things we can learn from that time in Elijah's life that can prevent us from falling prey to deep discouragement and continue moving forward in God's power.  

Have you ever had a time in your life when things were going great but then were blindsided by an unseen calamity of some sort?  Or maybe you received some sort of wonderful spiritual blessing in a super-charged service of some sort and then soon after had the rug pulled out from under you?  God's people must understand that there are dark spiritual powers that will not give up just because you got a special touch from God at some point.  The forces of hell are relentless, and so is the sin nature.  Therefore, we must have the right mindset after a mighty move of God to continue moving forward in the new thing He is doing in our lives, learning how to fight the good fight of faith ALL the time regardless of feelings and regardless of outward circumstances.  God is always up to something good, but we can't rest on yesterday's blessing.  We have to keep moving forward.  This teaching will equip you to maintain and build upon the new thing God might be doing in your life and church.
