BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART: Supremely Blessed pt. 5

Jesus said that blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  But what does it mean to be pure in heart?  How does the Bible define it?  And how does one become pure in heart?  This teaching explores that question, as well as what it means to "see God."  Truly, those who are pure in heart are eligible for a higher level of blessing than those who are not pursuing purity of heart.

How does a person excel in mercy?  Where does mercy come from?  And what does it mean when a person does not have a heart of mercy extended both to people in need and toward those who have wronged us?  These questions and more are fully examined in this important study on the fourth beatitude that Jesus mentioned in His sermon on the mount: Blessed are the merciful.

The Scriptures tell us to stir up the gift of God that is within us.  When we feel our faith waning or out motivation weakening, it's time to do a spiritual re-evaluation.  It's timem to shake off the spiritual lethargy and learn how to hunger and thirst after righteousness.  

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK: Supremely Blessed, pt. 2

The cultural definition of meekness has to do with someone who is naturally given to gentleness, shyness, or timidity.  But the Biblical definition paints a very different picture.  Prepare to look yourself in the eyes as you gaze into the mirror of God's Word and see yourself in truth, because true Biblical meekness is a very misunderstood concept in the Body of Christ.  

SUPREMELY BLESSED, pt 1: Blessed are the Poor in Spirit

The "Beatitudes" is a list of 9 blessings taught by Jesus on His Sermon on the Mount as found in Matthew 5:1-12.  The term, beatitude, literally means "supreme blessedness."  This series begins by examing the supreme blessedness of being poor in spirit and what that means and why it leads to blessing.  

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KINGDOM: Money Matters pt. 8

This teaching reviews a lot of scripture related to God's desire to bless His people financially.  But the qualifier is that the recipient of God's most lavish blessings are the ones who are most concerned about joining God in His Kingdom expansion campaign, using people to do it.  God is an investor, and He continues to funnel money to and through those on whom He can depend to give Him a return.  

OVERCOMING WRONG MINDSETS ABOUT GOD'S BLESSINGS: Money Matters pt. 7

Wrong mindsets about money abound, including those already addressed in this series, such as greed and materialism.  But there are wrong mindsets on the other end of the spectrum as well.  Many people have unbiblical ideas about poverty and wealth that are born in religious tradition and/or feelings of unworthiness.  This teaching explodes some tragically wrong ideas that are often embraced in the church.

Did you know that Jesus talked about money more than any other topic except salvation itself?  Money issues are important for many reasons, but spiritually speaking, how God's people handle their money actually reveals the condition of the heart and what is important to them.  Therefore, it's important to know what the Bible says about issues like taxes, saving, and other matters related to personal finance.

Jesus predicted that a day would come when ministers in sheep's clothing who are really ravenous wolves would deceive and take advantage of God's people.  In this teaching we examine several red flags to look out for when deciding where to give your contributions.  In learning good stewardship of God's things, we must learn to not be so gullible and understand that not every minister who claims to speak for God actually is.

Tithing is a foundational Biblcal principle of generosity.  Yet there are other forms of giving the Bible commands.  This teaching examines those other forms of giving, as well as five blessing blockers that hinder the flow of blessing into the lives of even those who are already generous.
