A NEW HERITAGE: Know Thy Enemy, pt. 5

Have you ever hated a trait you have seen in your parents but then recognized that you act the same way?  This is most likely the result of inherited strongholds -- something that is passed down in the family DNA that can be very difficult to overcome.  But Jesus' life-giving power was designed to set us free from even generational strongholds.  This teaching helps you identify the inherited strongholds in your life and how to cut those off, unlocking instead the generational blessings in your family line.

Being successful in your campaign against the kingdom of darkness will involve knowing your source of power.  One of those sources is knowing your God-given new identity in Christ, which will infuse you with confidence to overcome every demonic obstacle that comes against you.  

Know Thy Enemy, pt. 3

The subject of demons is not a dark, scary topic.  Rather, it is one of VICTORY for the people of God, knowing that Jesus has defeated the realm of darkness and has shown us how to do the same.  By understanding the tactics of our enemy and where he likes to strike, and by understanding who we are in Christ and how to wield the power that God has put in our hands, we can defeat the enemies of our minds and emotions and walk from victory to victory.  At the end of this teaching, practical instruction is provided with volunteers from the congregation that will show you exactly how to wield the Sword of the Spirit against the enemies that try to enslave your mind.  

Know Thy Enemy pt. 2

Jesus delegated His authority to His people to trample on all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).  Therefore, satan and his minions have no grounds upon which to invade your life except for what you give them.  But the good news is, if you have given satan ground in your life, you can also take that ground back.  This teaching identifies two areas where believers give satan access points in their lives where the forces of darkness exert influence and harass God's people, and how to free one's self from those strongholds.  

Know Thy Enemy

Jesus spent roughly two-thirds of His earthly ministry expressing His love and concern by delivering people from demonic powers of various sorts.  In fact, 1 John 3:8 says that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.  Yet while Jesus was laying waste to the powers of darkness on a daily basis, somehow the subject of demons is rarely taught in today's Western Church.  But in order to get victory over the tactics and attacks of the enemy in our lives, we have to know how the enemy operates.  We have been given authority by Jesus to take on and defeat the enemy, but we have to know a little about this stealth adversary so we can expose his tactics and banish him from our lives.  

ESCAPING ESCAPISM: Planted pt. 5

ARE YOU AN ESCAPIST?  Escapism is the tendency to run when things get difficult.  Many people suffer from this terrible tendency, and it derails marriages, careers, and ministries.  Learn how to avoid this potentially catastrophic tendency and learn instead how to remain planted in the assignment God has given you, and thus fulfill His ultimate will for your life and ministry.  

REVERING THE LORD'S DAY: Planted, part 4

DO YOU KNOW WHY THE CHURCH MEETS ON SUNDAYS?  Most American Christians don't, especially the younger ones.  Thus, reverence for the meeting of the church is lacking among today's Christians.  But the Scriptures indicate that to take anything lightly that is ordained of God is to despise Him.  We need to reevaluate our commitments to the weekly meeting of the church, why we do it, and why it is important to God and to our spiritual health.  

ZEAL FOR HIS HOUSE: Planted, pt. 3

ARE YOU AS BLESSED AS YOU WANT TO BE?  It is obvious in the reading of Scripture that God takes delight in the prosperity of His people (Psalm 35:27).  Yet many of God's people are not prospering.  While your well-being is God's desire, His BIGGEST desire is the prosperity of your soul.  And in order to have prosperity of soul, we have to grow up, mature, and begin developing a reverence for God's things, such as a reverence for His Church and church attendance.  When we revere God's things as our top priorities, God makes our business His business.  And when God gets involved, we WILL be blessed in ALL ways!

WHY GOD'S PEOPLE DON'T FLOURISH: Planted, pt. 2

IS YOUR LIFE FLOURISHING?  If not, why not?  Psalm 92:13 says that those who are planted in the house of God will flourish!  So if you are part of a church and still not flourishing, perhaps it's because you are not properly planted according to what it means Biblically to be planted.  This teaching focuses on the expanded definition of what it means to be planted, and explores several reasons why God's people may not be flourishing to their potential.    

PLANTED: God's Purpose for the Church

Psalm 92:13 says that those who are planted in the house of God will flourish!  Yet there are lots of people who attend church regularly whose lives are not flourishing.  What does this scripture mean?  Does it simply mean just showing up at church somewhere, or is there something more?  You may have never heard this preached before, but it's time you did.  Find out what it means to be "PLANTED."
