God's mandates for sexual purity are not in place to prevent anyone from having fun. In fact, they are there to help and protect you from the various consequences of violating His commands. Sex is God's idea, and therefore it is good within the confines of holy matrimony. But outside of holy matrimony it inevitably creates problems. In fact, statistics show that the divorce rate among those who live together prior to marriage is a whopping 85%!! God's ways are always good and always designed to protect you from the consequences of doing things according to the feeble wisdom of fallen man.

It has been said that for every one person that you revile behind his/her back, there are at least three or four people who are doing the same behind yours. So if you want to make the universal law of sowing and reaping work for you instead of against you, the fruit of patience and forbearance with one another must be mastered. And if you want your home and church to function the way God intended, you must learn to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. How differently our lives and churches would be if we would simply decide to live this way!

It has been said that if you aren't doing the hardest thing you've ever done, you aren't growing. Often times God will arrange for His children to placed in circumstances that forces them to learn patience, endurance, and perseverance so they can be equipped for anything, able to handle greater responsibilities later. In other words, God trains His children by exposing them to adversity in the form of having to put with difficult people or situations that are not exactly comfortable. We also endure trails of faith by waiting on God's promises to be fulfilled, and even wrestling against our own carnal natures. But through it all, our characters are being chiseled into the overcomers that God has called us to be...IF we respond with the right attitude.

Forty-million adults in the U.S. are affected by chronic anxiety, and a full ONE IN FIVE ADULTS IN THE U.S. ARE ON MENTAL HEALTH MEDICATION, which includes medication for depression. The Church of Jesus Christ has not been immune to this problem even though the Scriptures say that two of the Fruits of the Spirt are joy and peace. Since the Bible identifies hindrances to joy and peace, it would benefit us to know what those hindrances are and begin to deal with them in the power of the Holy Spirit. This teaching also begins by reviewing what true godliness is, and how to train to accomplish it.

Some people in the modern Church feel that life in the New Covenant frees them from any sort of law or expectation. While the Scriptures are clear that we are indeed free from the Law of Moses, that does not mean we are not under any sort of law at all. There are expectations for the New Testament believer under the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ.
