Transitioning in the series now to the specific pieces of armor from Ephesians 6, this teaching focuses on the helmet of salvation, representing protection for the mind.  The mind is where all spiritual warfare begins and is the focus of Satan's demonic assaults on people's lives.  Learning to master our thoughts and emotions is a key element of our spiritual victory, and is therefore a key piece of our spiritual armor.  

The first four centuries of the Church were the most powerful in Church history.  The early Christians were able to overtake the Empire of Rome, yet they had no New Testament to guide them.  What was different about what the New Testament Church believed and practiced compared to what the modern Church believes and practices? That is addressed, in part, in this teaching in the fourth session of More Than Conquerors.
